The beauty industry has a serious waste issue.
Every year, around 120 billion cosmetic containers are produced, yet only a small portion actually gets recycled.
The majority end up in landfills, are burned, or are discarded carelessly—
often finding their way into our oceans.
Beauty with Responsibility
Not all beauty packaging can go into your curbside bin. That’s why we encourage using Pact Collective’s recycling program for items like pumps, droppers, and other tricky components. Together, we can keep hard-to-recycle packaging out of landfills and oceans, giving them a second life and helping protect our planet.
Pact was born from a simple idea: the beauty industry can do better. Founded by MOB Beauty and clean beauty retailer Credo, Pact unites brands to take responsibility for packaging waste and create circular solutions. Circularity isn’t a solo effort—it requires collaboration, shared knowledge, and bold action. Today, more than 150 beauty and wellness brands have joined Pact, working together to build a cleaner, brighter future for people and the planet.

Yes please!
Rinse out any leftover product before recycling. Clean containers help ensure they can actually be recycled and prevent contamination in the recycling process.
Take apart all caps, lids and closures so you can properly clean each component
Use warm, soapy water and let your containers soak if necessary
Once your items are collected through Pact, they’re transformed into new products instead of ending up in landfills or oceans. By recycling hard-to-recycle beauty packaging, we’re giving materials a second life—and helping protect the planet together.
Find a drop-off location by visiting Pact Bin Locations — Pact Collective
If you can’t find a bin, you can send them via mail. We recommend you wait until you have a minimum of 5-10 items so we can continue to make less of an impact.

Let’s be real for a moment. You alone will not make a big difference by recycling one bottle every few months. Not a chance. But, the whole goal is that we can all do this together.
1 person = not a huge difference.
1 million people = now we are getting somewhere.
We love this. In fact, we love this so much that we have done our very best to provide you with multi-use packaging.
Some ideas we have
DROPPER BOTTLES:
Save these for travel. Use them to fill with your shampoos, lotions, etc. Space saver!
SPRAY BOTTLES:
Use distilled water and a few drops of your favorite essential oils to create a body/room spray
GLASS/PLASTIC BOTTLES:
Fill with hand soap or dish detergent
JARS:
Oh, the endless possibilities. Use these for small item organization– think bobby pins, hair ties, rings, or even spices!
BOXES:
A lot of our round boxes are quite ridged and strong. These are good for holding multiple items, much like jars!
