Heavy? Definitely no. We use 50% tallow along with nouriishing, lightweight oils, so it’s a lot lighter than most tallow creams out there.
Greasy? Initially, yes. Although, it’s formulated with lightweight oils (Grapeseed, Apricot, Squalane) and a touch of kaolin clay to enhance absorption, leaving a soft, non-greasy finish that sinks in quickly. This is not like your regular tallow!

It can be — but it depends on your skin. Grass-fed tallow closely mimics the skin’s natural sebum, which can help balance oil production and support barrier repair. Its fatty acid profile (rich in stearic and oleic acids) is nourishing and anti-inflammatory, which some find beneficial for acne-prone or irritated skin.

However, because tallow is rich and occlusive, those with very oily or congested skin may find it too heavy if overused. It’s best applied sparingly — often as a nighttime treatment or on areas needing repair rather than as an all-over daily moisturizer.
