Natural Origin: Cetearyl Alcohol is a mixture of naturally derived (Coconut and Palm Oil) fatty alcohols consisting predominantly of Cetyl (30%) and Stearyl Alcohol (70%)
WHY WE LOVE IT
Unlike the skin-aggravating/drying forms of alcohol (denatured alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol), cetearyl alcohol is an emollient that is gentle, safe, and good for the skin.
Not generally considered an alcohol as it is a fatty alcohol that helps retain moisture in skin and thickness in formulations
Helps to emulsify oils and liquids
